All I wanted was snow and a winter day, instead I got a classic foggy + misty New England. And let me tell you. We embraced the day together and the feelings we experienced didn’t change because of the weather. If anything these foggy photos quickly became a favorite of mine and shows the classic New England day we had 🩶

Garrison and Theodore had been in each other’s orbit for years without ever meeting (the snowboarding community in New England is small!). As a wedding planner, she had her perfect vision in mind and got in touch to work together, as we’d collaborated on multiple weddings in the past. She approached me with her plans for an intimate celebration at The Inn at Weathersfield in Vermont at the end of December.

Garrison allowed me to imagine up an intricate and artisan invitation suite, complete with a hand drawn map, illustrated weekend itinerary, watercolor plaid envelope liners, a style guide for guests, and a save the date that mimicked a ski resort lift ticket.

For the day-of papers, I created sage wedding menus, circular place cards with calligraphy, and a truly tactile escort card experience: wood pieces wrapped in plaid fabric and layered with leather, sequoia-colored wax seals featuring pine trees, and handmade cotton paper with deckled edging, and romantic, Jane Eyre-style calligraphy.
